What? Presenting a media composition with the topic of Heimat. which sonifies the planetary connections of the internet and allowing traveling at the speed of light to different parts of the world while living in a pandemic.

Befindet sich digitale Heimat bei Services, in User License Agreements oder an Ländergrenzen? Der Begriff der digitalen Heimat benutzt IP Adressen, Endgeräte, LogIns und Funktürme zur Identifikation seiner Cloud Citizen. Für die Komposition wird deshalb auf verschiedenen Kontinenten der physischen Welt Rechner gemietet die untereinander in Lichtgeschwindigkeit kommunizieren um eine Komposition zu generieren - die digitale Globalisierung wird durch eine akustische Reise in Echtzeit hörbar gemacht.

For this composition I used Ossia Score for sequencing, a self written Python script with Docker to distribute the services which communicate with each other, OPENRNDR for visuals and FAUST, SuperCollider and a modular synth to generate sounds. The hosting platform for the servers was GCP.
